I think the Jerry conversation takes away from the important topic of the day. What do we think of this building? What do we think of spot zoning 5 stories for this project? Is the cityfy-ing of Belmar good? Are we headed in the right direction?
I don’t like the idea of five stories, but I was unable to attend the meeting so would like to see some renderings before I make a judgement. Generally though I don’t like the idea of spot zoning to shoehorn in a building that wouldn’t normally be allowed. We should be making building fit the rules, not making new rules to fit buildings in my opinion.
% stories is too much, the area is already cramped with a 9 story condo building (about 50 years old), the multistory senior building on 8th, the new 4 story apt building on 10th and the new 4 story apt bldg on Main St.
10th Ave can’t handle the traffic for this new bldg and neither can 8th ave. Russo didn’t have any good answers
#16- you are not accurate, that property and other properties were put in the seaport development plan, they do not go to the Zoning Board, they present to a TDRC Committee and then proceed to the planning board and mayor and council. But not the Zoning Board.
#20 I WENT TO THE MEETINGS. So I don’t have to go to the tapes. The administration deserves to have their meetings disrupted.
I CAN DO ALL CAPS TOO.
BTW, if/when (really if) Trump gets his own social media platform off the ground you wouldn’t be able to post an all caps post like that. It’s one of the many rules on his ‘no rules’ platform. Haha.
The Mediterranean. Again. It’s too big. Their answers to the questions about the traffic on 10th were lame.
“Belmar is a beautiful seashore community, cursed by over development. We are also known as Little Long Branch.”
The recount is over? What about the lawsuit? What did we do?
Mediterranean ??? … Belmar is a sleepy, low profile, Seaport Village on the ATLANTIC OCEAN

Mayor is officially a member of the Planning Board.
