Seems like all they do is boast that all the slips have been filled for the year. Leading you to believe the marina is a money making proposition. I agree. Why take money from the general coffers to repair marina projects. Raise the marina fees.
The marina is being managed well now. A waiting list for slips. Being repaired is a good thing not a bad thing. And the boat owners do fund the marina. And the taxpayers of Belmar benefit from it. The money made there goes directly into our general fund. With an asset like that why shouldn’t it be maintained? Why would anyone not be in favor of that? The bond money transfer approved means that the money is already borrowed and was not needed at Lake Como because this administration was able to collect 700,000 from Fema that was never collected by pryor administration.
This is a good thing not a bad thing.
Why not jack up the rent that the concessionaire pays at our marina to dock his rental boats, storage trailers on boro property and winter storage area for his boats? That may produce more income.
Why are we using bond money raised to address storm water as a giveaway to upgrade the electrical system for slip owners in the marina?
Why are residents and not boat owners paying for the marina upgrades?

The marina has
been mismanaged for decades.
#3 You can say that again!

Nothing positive will ever be acknowledged by the “tiders” at this critical time in our lives.
Are you going to follow the directions of any of the unproven rantings of self serving, foot stomping agitators?

Stormwater funds should be used for stormwater projects. Marina fees should be used to upgrade the electrical system at the marina.
