I never heard of an artist or agency designing a logo and keeping the trademark so they can privately profit off it, especially a logo for a government and its agencies.
#5- it’s true that many local and state government ‘logos’ are not copyrighted or require licensing agreements per se, however, you typically need permission to use them. The fear is that a fraudster can use the official Belmar logo in a money making scam. It would give potential victims the false notion that the town of Belmar is endorsing the fake charity or whatever. But licensing? That is not typically done. But this is Belmar. We can’t just have an official seal like every town. We need to have a copyrighted logo.
Is this administration seriously getting into a licensing agreement for use of the Belmar logo ?! Stop using the logo- end of story. So dumb
What is the redevelopment agreement????
Is this another big building?
Finally a smaller/reasonable sized development project. Only took this administration until the last month…
There isn’t enough parking for the new buildings

there is a logo throw rug at M&C meetings … they remove it when court is in session

#7 … no such thing as “official Belmar logo”.
Belmar has official seal and flag … both established by ORDINANCE and included in the Borough Code.
if someone wants an “official Belmar logo” … let them propose a ORDINANCE and get the benefit of public input.
btw- the Jersey Shore Chamber of Commerce has a similar logo … but, the ‘wave’ in in the opposite direction
Belmar’s new BA is no nonsense
