Folks this is just nuts. Need an answer asap. Our governor has to get involved. Oh wait, he’s busy giving our tax $$ to illegals. The democrats are ruining this country.
To #1
No Vito, Big Government in any form is. Just like the so-called conservatives we just got rid of in Belmar for the same reasons.
If you’re still directly aligning yourself with any political party or politically funded movement and thinking that act will improve our world at this point in history, well that’s akin to claiming you’re rehabilitating cannibals and when someone asks you how, you proudly tell them, “I taught them to eat with a knife and a fork.”
I can’t do the “DON’T VOTE” narrative as Mr. Dilberger suggests YET. Although I’m not ruling it out for the future, but as far as seeing the two-party system is a failure on both sides and Belmar being a microcosm of this, well, I’ve been there for awhile. š
#2 You probably don’t know this but>>This is a very serious problem. Whoever the person is, Mr. Bean. Great work. Either Democrat or Republican you should be concerned. Murphy is useless. What is going on in VA. The AG has to get involved with a school system creating every student the same. No excellence or failure. Nope everyone is the same. The democrats are ruining this country. Murphy is one of the people doing it.
Iād like to thank Jim Bean for his tenacity. One thing I know about Jim from working both on and for his campaigns is his passion for fair elections. Though he and I donāt always see eye to eye on issues there are things we share in common. One is that mail in ballots are rife with mistakes and problems with no true accounting for voter identification. I canāt even get my mail here in Belmar accurately. Iāve lost count on how many times I get other peoples mail or the mail I send out never reaches its destination. Another thing I believe we share is a mistrust of the lack of oversight in our voting roles. This sequence of events that Jim discovered is very troubling on so many levels. We have all heard of complaints about machine voting software glitches but I always thought it was the most safe and secure way to vote even having heard many stories of problems. Iām deeply troubled about this turn of events and believe our County and Board of election officials have a lot of explaining to do. How do we trust the software companyās credibility? Why are the Countyās numbers different from the board of elections numbers opraed by Jim? A recount of the paper ballots and entire election is absolutely necessary. Even then Iām not sure credibility will be restored. A very distressing situation.
#7
Katrina; So partisan in your response? Did you ever think that the Republicans control things at the county level and maybe one of your local cronies used his “extensive county connections” to get you all extra votes and you all still lost? LOL Nah, only Democrats are corrupt and you can’t trust veterans, only cops. All the credibility you earned so well when taking on the Doherty Administration you’re now losing swiftly. It’s a shame really.
#9 The facts are the cross checks do not reconcile. This is a huge problem. A valid reason must be obtained as to the discrepancy. If you aren’t interested in that then bow out from this conversation.
Remember even though there were 76 provisional ballots doesn’t mean they were all valid. Some get thrown out. Were 76 used or was it just 76 applied for?
Joe. I never once said anything about Democrats. What does partisan have to do with this? My comments have nothing to do with the parties. It has to do with election integrity. If I was so worried about partisanship I wouldnāt even speak on this issue since the county is run by Republicans and I am one. Your argument makes no logical sense. But I find that on most of you blathering.
And just to be clear. I could care less what you think of my credibility.
So go ahead, spew your hatred at me for a while. Maybe it will get you a lot of clicks on your Facebook page.
The lowest paid tech will loose their job because they screwed-up the software installā¦
Iāve been using the mail-in ballot for years and write-in the names of candidates for my vote ā¦ I never use the political party column checkboxes ā¦ even if my selected candidates are affiliated with a political party.
Katrina, according to the article, sounds like a recount of any ballots will not be up to you or anyone else other than the Attorney Generalās office. Itās possible that nothing at all will be done. Yes, this would be wrong but why didnāt you or your campaign notice this right after the election?
It’s not a one-sided problem though like the Cancel Culture movement is in Belmar Vito. You see, when folks who call a half a can of red spray paint, “a violent act” that uses “fear and intimidation”, and then cover it with a satellite news van and make sure it shows up in every paper just days before an election and weeks after a shooting at The Belmar Motor Lodge which was an event that actually fit the description but was quieted in the press. Well, ya just gotta throw the b@!!sh*t flag.
Yeah, all those great County connections working so well for Belmar to keep The County from sending us folks fresh out of Monmouth County Jail to live at The BML while they try to transition to an honest life or decide to become career politicians and continue their criminal ways. All the while while Code Enforcement lets another hotel slide so The Mediterranean Project can be shoved through because it’s better than what’s there now even though it’s another monstrosity! Thank you for your benevolence and looking out for us with your fatherly touch oh great former Mayor Walsifer. Thank you also for making the “hard and unpopular decisions for us Mr. Kirschenbaum, because you always know what’s right and true and we’re just an idiot independent voting majority who don’t ever know what’s best for the town we live in. š (Paragraph deleted by Editor.)
No, we’re all wise enough to know that at least two of the three who were elected are truly Independents but because of the partisan folks like you in town who keep stoking political hate and divide, people actually believed that Matt Doherty was going to be the new Business Administrator.
Oh, almost forgot! Wow! FOUR short days to find the perpetrator of the late night break in through the back door of “Nourished By Nature” last year when he had a mask on but not a single lead in the case of “I killed The Lindbergh Baby with a can of spray paint in Belmar”. All those great detective minds, a $500 reward offered on social media, two locations of this “heinous act” and a cry of “vote for us to say no to crime” when a shooting just occurred on our watch- but of course “nothing to see there”. We’re not that dumb anymore Katrina!! We discuss these things openly and not anonymously as they occur on The “Belmar/Lake Como/West Belmar Residents” Group
OMG! Stop me Vito before I end someone’s political career in town because they can’t let go of their hypocrisy and narrow minded worship of the folks who let this town down to prop themselves up.
Ahhhh, no better cure to the midwinter blues than taking on all the partisan hate rhetoric in The Blog. Just when you thought your town finally turned the corner. š The best was the “F@&k Kirschenbaum” sandwich board sign near the 16th Avenue courts that turned up and when the former head of The Politburo found out he wanted to launch an investigation! GAWD! If it wasn’t our town it would be an episode of “Reno 9-1-1” and we could all have a laugh.
(Hmmm? Is it too late for someone to pay the $50 fine and pocket $450 and become an instant local legend for a crime they did not commit because the true perpetrators hide amongst us?)
…pssssshhh, click… That’s the sound of me cracking open another beer at 9:30am and waiting for the anonymous haters to come forward into the arena. It’s just too easy one on one here…
Katrina;
Blathering is what you and Jim McCracken did at the last council meeting after the swearing in. Providing lots of solid information is what I do without a partisan skew.
P.S.- It’s not my Facebook page, it’s the residents’ private Facebook Group and they are becoming well aware that you’re becoming a ***** for folks that labeled themselves ‘conservatives’ and ‘patriots’ and were ‘for controlled development’, but in truth were nothing of the sort. In fact, now they’re threatening “retaliation” against several members of the community who spoke out, blew the whistles, and organized to soundly defeat them. Wow, good people huh?
In an election cycle where folks like me who lean to The Right voted for the most part GOP down the line, until they got to Belmar and then they saw the GOP candidates that they helped elect last time were on the ballot. YIKES!
Yeah, it would have been nice to have another woman on the council next year and a Republican to help with balancing things out in the minds of overtly concerned residents, but unless “Hurricane Katrina” stops with all the partisan hot air and realizes the town she’s only lived in for a relatively short time needs to heal from 12 years of poor leadership at the very top, she’s unelectable in Belmar the next go around. Just sayin’.
That’s the truth from the residents Katrina. I’m just the messenger for The Sheepdogs. You really don’t want to make it personal with me. Marines thrive on conflict and we invite it. We’re also solid at conflict resolution; Just ask former Council President McCracken. š Step back, separate yourself from the past, raise your vibration, and get back to speaking out against corruption and return to being “your own candidate” as you once touted yourself as. Bury the dead or they’ll continue to stink up the place.
Look, the fact of the matter is that you and Dr. Kinney ran as conservative candidates that would “think for themselves”, but quickly however you both became part of the Good Ole’ Boys Club faster than anyone- and the two of you aren’t even “boys”?!? We need more women in leadership because they are more people focused whereas men are interested in bright, shiny objects. The best lifeguard captain I ever had was a woman, and the best Staff Non-commissioned Officer I ever worked for was a woman. Both in highly male dominated professions. Stop lowering your stock by being a sideline cheerleader for the boys after being in the game and truly making a difference in exposing the Doherty regime for their malfeasance years ago.
That’s solid information. If you think that’s blathering, then you don’t have the ************ to get elected or the fortitude to do YOUR best. You already let the residents know that you’re too cool to join them on social media where they use a whole lot of energy to get to the bottom of issues pertinent to them. Continue along as an outsider and see how that goes for you in November or wake up and serve the majority of the residents who can see right through the crap and will make it go away if you do not. š
#15- Probably the same reason the Dems. never fully vetted George Santos after spending millions on getting their candidate to win. Lazy. As far as Santos goes all power to him. A perfect politician as we all have come to expect. A LIAR.
This is why voters don’t have confidence in the election process. Look how easy it was to add votes. Don’t let the same actors who got it wrong, come back and assure us they got it right this time. The updated results need to be independently verified.
I guess thatās why youāve had so many ājobsā (deleted by Editor.). One, you spend too much time spewing nonsensical, lengthy rhetoric on social media. Two, if you’re cracking a beer at 9:30 am, then, that speaks for itself. Please, stop your BS. No one wants to hear it. (deleted by Editor.)
#16 “All the while while Code Enforcement lets another hotel slide so The Mediterranean Project can be shoved through…” I am sure the new code enforcement officer has already started cracking down on that hotel, right?
#16. Stop the babbling. These discrepancies need to be reconciled. If not, all is lost. Remember statistics don’t lie but people compiling may. Programs don’t lie but people doing the programs may. The AG must find what the heck happened. Most normal folks want the truth. This isn’t Russian. Yet.
Joe McEvoy. You are completely off topic. Both numbers have to agree. If you disagree with that then there isn’t any hope for you to see the forest through the trees. This is extremely important.
Jim Bean for Mayor ! Jerry, Jim should have been you BA. Instead you went with a ********* ****. Wondering, did you ever even put that job on the street ?
I totally agree Vito. The news said that last night there was human error in failing to reinstall a “fail-safe device” in four towns in Monmouth County and they are calling for a recount in early February as ballots were “double counted”. Now maybe Walsifer will lose by over 400 votes. That’d be great. š
#20 “STOP”
I’ll stop when you come up with a counterpoint instead of making ad hominem attacks. Remember, my work record and drinking preferences have nothing to do with the fact that you got SWEPT and are ********. I no longer have to work because of my careers- not my jobs- and it leaves more time to do whatever the hell I please. I enjoy a cool beer buzz early in the morning and healthy debate. One out of two is unfortunately all I get here from you and your cronies.
What did have to do with your personal loss was the fact that a group of independent thinking and motivated veterans, firefighters, and true patriots who have forgotten more about leadership than you’ll ever learn, got together and said enough is enough and together we helped others elect true leaders so we can turn the corner on twelve years of Bill and Hillary Doherty and Ed Kirschenbaum. Maybe one day soon you’ll turn the corner too and get hit by a truck and it’ll unfreeze your brain housing group.
#21 “Guest”
Many residents truly hope so as it currently has become more than an eyesore to the town. Hopefully by mid-summer they’ll have a solid redevelopment plan f
#28 You’re missing the point. Regardless of who wins it’s about integrity. Not important for you to say Walsifer will get less or more votes. For once realize what’s important. Please make good choices.
I get it Vito. I really do. Even though you’re vague at making your point. Also, if it’s about integrity and we get stuck with leaders like Walsifer or Doherty, is it still about integrity? Something to ponder. I may just crack open a cold one right now at 0515 and think about that for awhile myself. š
I get it. The system isn’t airtight; It casts doubt in voter’s minds and most importantly apathy; It’s not a failsafe system if failsafes need to be remembered to be installed and aren’t integrated into the system itself, etc., etc. I get it Vito.
I get that Belmar is now even more of a microcosm of what’s going on in the national scene and that’s the most unfortunate repercussion of this for our citizenry.
Katrina;
When you’re done calling all your local advisors and handlers and they get a rebuttal together for you, I’ll be here patiently waiting. Nothing I love to do more than troll the uninformed members of a lost regime and when waiting for a reply make them finally realize that they are damned if they do and damned if they don’t.
I’m here all week and the frig is stocked!
OOH RAH!!
Joe. I’d love to hear your opinion on the integrity of the “mail in ballot” system. Belmar has a long history of questionable ballots being tallied even pre-covid. I think the whole system is broken. I say either you show up at a polling place to vote or you don’t vote. Period.
Wow, everyone needs to calm down and take a breath. Yes, this vote machine glitch is bad. No question. It sounds like it is a technical issue that is being handled. The final accurate counts will hopefully be counted and the results made public. Since the device didnāt distinguish which votes were double counted, it is NOT a partisan issue. It is an extremely important election issue.
So
#29 Mr Corleone, stick to tired movie references and leave out the broken record partisan attacks. Itās old, itās insane, and itās wrong. You keep saying the country is ruined. Itās hard to imagine how you can love a country while hating slightly more than half of it. Iāll say to you what you almost certainly have said to others, if you donāt like it, leave it. There are other places to live.
#14 Katrina- you have a right to be concerned since you were actually in this past race. Just stay focused on the actual problem. This has absolutely nothing to do with mail in ballots. They are a safe and reliable method for voting. And they are helpful to folks like Mr Creamer. You imply that it would be easy to fake. My advice, give it a try. If you ever receive a mail in form that is not you, go ahead and fill it out, forge the signature, mail it in. See what happens. Right, I didnāt think so. As far as voter roles go- yes they can be inaccurate on both sides. But, as Mr Bean found out in an election against Matt Doherty, voter roles arenāt the same as actual votes. Falsely accusing over bogus votes did not go well. It wound up giving Doherty an effective campaign ad. However, I hope that an investigation into the technical machine error yields you some more votes, but it doesnāt seem likely since the machine apparently didnāt differentiate.
#18- Pathological liar, Republican George Santos is the democratās fault? I have to say, that kind of blind loyalty to your little club is impressive. Itās insane and more than a little sad, but it is impressive. You must be a blast a parties.
I’m sorry; I don’t know enough and haven’t studied enough about the mail-in ballot system to even begin to comment on it. It’s definitely something I wonder about but haven’t researched. However, as #33 “Breathe” mentioned, in-person voting does neglect certain demographics where mail-ins are possibly their only option. I believe the two party system is what is broken and agree that aspects of voting tabulation are consistently at risk because they are a reflection of this highly adversarial, highly outside funded, winner-take-all system where the ends seem to justify the means in the minds of those who attain control.
How did we get to this point and why is the world so screwed up? Dr. Jordan Peterson once said that it’s a psychological and sociological fact that when people become apathetic to certain walks of life as they have to politics, that the void is inevitably filled by sociopaths, opportunists, and folks looking to hire their cronies and people in their own self image to create controlling autocratic regimes. He went on to explain these cycles continue in a downward spiral until a shift occurs and the pendulum swings the other way. People’s souls can only be held down so long until the benevolent give rise to a positive shift.
Another much more famous doctor who happened to be benevolent, also spoke about apathy’s role in societal declines and how souls full of love rise up and change the world. He spearheaded change in the 1960s and we just celebrated his birthday as a National Holiday last week.
On November 9, 2021 I addressed the Belmar Council on behalf of the veterans and firefighters and true patriots in town, and we asked for lights on The Flags at Memorial Row after our pleas were ignored by the administration for months. I also mentioned in that address that we were at the lowest point of global conflict in modern history but 70% the world’s democracies were moving towards more autocratic rule including our own and that Belmar was a microcosm of what is happening nationally.
I also spoke of how it’s “The Great Awakening” versus “The Great Reset” and the collective consciousness of the world is shifting, but before it’s complete things will get worse for the world.
Now we see where the world is now- just shy of fifteen short months later- and we see where Belmar is as well. Prophetic but easily predictable from the data provided by some great minds I follow online and sites such as the CIA’s declassified server.
I truly believe the year 2023 will go down in history with 1968 as a milestone in conflict and change when we look back decades from now. China is on the verge of collapse and the geopolitical energy demands during wartime in Europe will hit a breaking point this winter and it will all begin to accelerate and unravel quickly.
Buckle up…
“No one is coming; It’s up to us.”
#34 precisely. I said it is an extremely important election issue. Extremely important. You went on an anti democrat tirade that has nothing to do with mechanical errors. Here is what you said about the issue:
āMurphy is useless. What is going on in VA. The AG has to get involved with a school system creating every student the same. No excellence or failure. Nope everyone is the same. The democrats are ruining this country. Murphy is one of the people doing itā
If you can point out which part of that opinion (all it is) is in any way about the story of faulty voting machines, I will apologize. If you canāt, then it just proves my point. I actually am concerned about the story, youāre concerned about the AG in a state in which you donāt live.
All this talk of mal-functioning machines is a bunch of baloney. The fact of the matter is all elections in our sad nation are always rigged.

DON’T VOTE!!!
That comment was for #34, not #30.
Lest āthe Donā thinks otherwise.
(Thank you. I changed that number from #30 to #34.
If there are any other edits that need to be done,
having to do with comment numbers or anything else,
please just message to me using this same comment section.)
#36 that’s a good come back. Your debate skills are pretty intimidating. However, since Iām not the one who thinks the country is ruined, I should be the one who stays. Oh, and incidentally, Iām not a āliberalā. I’m a centrist whoās not a fan of hypocrites. Sorry.
I believe John Walsh was hired and now there is an add posted for a code enforcement position.
So now they are hiring two people to replace one person. Frank Cinelli was a gem for Belmar so sad to see him go. As far as I’m concerned the Mayor made a huge mistake.
#41 Saying you’re a centrist is because you aren’t convinced who or what you believe. The country is ruined. Democrats are running amuck in every state. They may be from another planet.
I tend to mirror the tactfulness of the people I reply to. Your poor situational awareness and comprehension keeps you ignorant to that fact, even though I continue to speak down to you in a language that I’m almost certain you surely understand. ;}
Keep complaining though; Your tiny, close minded, hateful, misinformed base is surely listening.
If John Walsh is half as successful as the new Belmar Tourism Director at promoting our town as he is promoting his very own neighborhood during Halloween and Christmas, we’ll see amazing results. He certainly got great results as their campaign manager. š Three for three in a politically divided climate. Outstanding!! Yup, he’s humble, energetic, loves the town, always puts his best foot forward, and he’s always available and enthusiastic. It’s those types of nicer, very capable folks who have always seemed to get overlooked in Belmar historically in favor of close-minded, “my way or the highway”. The three newest elected leaders he helped get on the dais are also humble open-minded folks. You really should give them a chance. They may just perform way beyond expectations. Hell, it’s an easy bet the new Belmar Business Administrator certainly will.
If you’re a full-time Belmar Mayor like the new one- and unlike the old ones- you just might need a secretary and obviously doing more than one job isn’t uncommon if indeed he also has that responsibility.
Since we’re on the subject of multiple jobs and titles; Frank Cinelli never promoted tourism, he was The Director of Special Operations (minus the jump wings and SCUBA badge, LOL) which is a fancy title for Coordinator of Special Events. In other words, he put up Jersey Barriers and herded folks into the parking lot of Belmar Mall, thereby turning it into a clone of Union County for a weekend. Way to promote our oceanfront town for The New Jersey State Seafood Festival and put our best foot forward as well as up the @$$#$ of our guests?!?
Incidentally, almost three-quarters of Belmartians polled in The “Belmar/Lake Como/West Belmar Residents” Facebook Group wanted The Seafood Festival moved to the early autumn and back to Silver Lake Park and promoted as a “local” event in the post tourist season when most other towns host their local “The Bennys Went Home” festivals. The huge crowds from s#*tsvilles many of us escaped from years ago to come here would be replaced by ‘spiffier’ folks from our own nearby burbs and within the center of our own county. Imagine that? Even our many residents who have avoided The Seafood Festival in recent years might start enjoying a cornerstone event in their own backyard again.
(Deleted by Editor.) and how quickly Belmar Motor Lodge went into freefall so a “bait and switch” for The Mediterranean Project could be promoted. You know, like The Belmar Inn for condos on 12th Avenue. Good times! I’ll surely miss ’em. How ’bout you?
#50
A growing number of Americans migrated from predominantly blue states with steep taxes like California and New York to red states with lower taxes like Florida and Texas last year, according to a Bank of America analyst
#48 Iām saying Iām a centrist because Iām not a close minded sycophant. I know exactly what I believe in. And, unlike yourself, it not what other people tell me to believe in. See the difference? No? Well, I tried.
#53 Seems like a geography lesson is in order.
California is on the border with Mexico, Florida is not. Iām not sure what point you were trying to make but it appears, like many of your proclamations, to be irrelevant.
Oh, and while weāre in the subject of blue states red states. Did you know, you can look this up, that the blue states of this great country subsidize the red states? Itās true. States like Alabama, Mississippi etc get more from the federal gov than they pay. Blue states like NJ, NY, CA etc pay more to the federal government that they get back. Another way to look at it is the blue states are like the parents that support the red states as spoiled children. I know I know! Itās crazy. It always surprised me how few far right nutjobs know that fun fact. Chris Christie pointed it out with great hilarity to senator Paul from KY a few years back. It was great. I know, ādems are ruining the countryā. Sounding like the spoiled teenager.
#51-Laughable to say the least! So are we to believe that if not for John Walsh the new council would not have been elected *insert eye roll*….I have seen many of John Walsh’s ridiculous tik tok videos and hope that if his title is tourism (since nobody seems to know exactly what he was hired to do)that he is welcoming to all visitors regardless of their political beliefs!!! One can only hope he deletes his tik tok account….at least while serving in whatever title he holds in town. Check the OPRA request done asking for his job responsibilities and nobody seems to know…..sounds like he was hired as a favor….we shall see
#56-I’ve lived in Belmar my entire life, and have always voted for the person, not the party. That being said, those tik tok videos are completely inappropriate for a government (local or otherwise) employee. It’s embarrassing to have that representation for the town, and I hope that the mayor and council agree. I would hope that they wouldn’t want that sort of climate for this town.
#58-Well perhaps the mayor and BA need to have a conversation with Mr. Walsh and while serving the residents and visitors of Belmar to abstain from posting these videos on tik tok…..he is still currently posting after being hired and some are political…..and not favorable towards one party. Certainly not what someone who is “head of tourism” should be doing even on his own personal time.
#55 What did my statement have to do with who borders whom? Nothing. As for blue states subsidizing red states. It’s your Senators and congress people’s fault. Democrats are ruining this country.
Here we go again. Just like when a current school board member exercised her right to religious expression and was accused of hate by the local Cancel Culture. Republicans. You can’t have it both ways. (“hypocrisy”; see definition)
“The First Amendment guarantees our right to free expression and free association, which means that the government does not have the right to forbid us from saying what we like and writing what we like; we can form clubs and organizations, and take part in demonstrations and rallies.”
I doubt this right will have dire consequences for tourism unless the “Republican Cancel Culture”- is that even a thing? It appears it is now; If these Republicans make a big enough deal about it, they will once again show why partisan hypocrisy thrives in Belmar like a cancer, and why once again Belmar is a microcosm of what is going on nationally.
Just like when I totally disagreed with that school board member’s religious views but still lead the charge in her defense. (Sentence deleted by Editor.) The very definition of elitism, hypocrisy, entitlement, and not being educated to the fact that where your rights end, others’ rights begin. Which is the very basis of tolerance, cooperation, in a Constitutional Republic. Sometimes it truly hurts me to watch the uninformed burn the U.S. Flag, but I have to tolerate it. Because of this I think I can find it in my heart to forgive Tik-Tok excursions, but not the squashing of a man’s Constitutional Right to express himself on Tik-Tok. I doubt he’ll be making Tik-Tok videos on company time or wearing a T-shirt with a political statement while at work like NBA players do. I’m confident our new Mayor and Business Administrator have a “dress code” and “code of conduct” in place for working hours. š
Imagine this exchange… “Hey! Belmar looks like it’s finally cleaning up their act! Let’s head there for a trip down The Shore tomorrow with the kids George!!”…. “Well Gladys, you may be right, but first let me make sure the Belmar Tourism Director is a Republican. I’ll do some background research online while you prepare lunches and don’t forget to pack the s’mores and bring Toby’s inhaler. You know how he gets around crowds!!”
Yeah… last time I checked. That’s not how “America” works and you so-called “conservatives” should know that.
#60 you seemed to be responding to the statement about three of the four āsouthern borderā states having democrat governors. You said to ask them how they feel. Thatās an indication of how they feel. You donāt like it. I donāt blame you.
The blue stateās subsidizing red states is actually the red states fault. We make more money. They take more money. They require more in federal funds. Itās is not my senators or congress peopleās fault. Look it up. I know you donāt want to believe it, but itās true. Iām sorry.
Democrats are going to ruin Belmar? Hahahahaha. Theyāre not Matt Doherty!
Can we get you to at least leave Belmar? I mean how do you have any fun being angry all the time? Must be exhausting. I will say though, Iād miss these discussions. Arguing with you is like shooting fish in a barrel.
Yes John Walsh worked for the Democrats campaign, yes he was hired as an employee for the borough of Belmar. No different than Walsifer hiring John Sabia as the āmultimedia directorā a position that was never there prior, and John just happened to help Mark and squad during their first election.
How about the ā************ *********ā to Kirschenbaum, another made up title that offered this person a $**,*** raise.
Are they still the borough administrators assistant using the made up title. (Deleted by Editor.) Would that be considered a conflict? Letās worry about what has been happening in borough hall over the last 4 years. And no need to delete any of this as the purchasing agents information was recently released by an OPRA request.
#60 I have fun getting you upset. The blue state senators should get together and demand a change to the subsidizing of red states. Simply? The red states fault. Since when did a blue state refuse $$ from the feds? I know you don’t want to believe it. It’s true.
#63- Apparently ex-c****** Menendez and sidekick Booker are not doing their jobs in getting more of our Federal money back from Washington. The last two years of this Washington admin. have made me poor.
(Anyone correct me if I am wrong, but I believe our Senator was indicted for several things and not convicted.)
#62 Mr McEvoy- cancel culture has been around for centuries. There is a segment of the population that likes to pretend that itās a new phenomenon, but that is simply not true. From Galileo to the women in Salem MA to Black people to the Irish to Oscar Wilde to Elvis Presley to John Lennon to The Smothers Brothers to Ellen to Mathew Shepard to Janeās Addiction to Murphy Brown and on and on and on and on. For literally centuries people of entire races and creeds and sexual orientations and political persuasions have been arrested, murdered, enslaved, beaten, canceled, and marginalized. Now a days, if a private company decides to change the name of its maple syrup, Tucker Carlson blows a Connecticut prep school gasket. It is beyond comprehension how delicate and snow flakey these people can be. They were so happy when THEY were the ones doing the cancelling. They are not big fans of accountability, but hypocrisy is like a drug.
It would be very sad if it wasnāt so fun to watch them melt down.
#62-It has nothing to do with the “Tourism Director” being a republican, democrat or liberal. The point is that his tik tok videos shouldn’t be what the administration wants to promote as the current climate. It doesn’t seem very inclusive.
#62-The First Amendment guarantees our right to free expression and free association, which means that the government does not have the right to forbid us from saying what we like……that’s what you wrote…..perhaps you need to take your soapbox to Miami and explain that to the owner of a restaurant that asked a black conservative to leave her restaurant because her politics didn’t align with his…..yayyy for freedom of speech….you really are a blithering blabbering *****
“owner of a restaurant that asked a black conservative to leave her restaurant because her politics didnāt align with his”

An owner may choose to serve, or not serve anyone he/she wants for any reason. The supreme court ruling that overturned Americans right to do that was and remains a blot on our constitution (Heart of Atlanta Motel, Inc. v. United States) and should be overturned.
#69 Back to basic constitutional law class for you. The owner of the restaurant has the right to remove anyone from their establishment. According to the restaurant owner, the person was being obnoxious and saying some pretty degrading things about women. So he threw them out. Totally legal.
Same thing wouldāve happened if they werenāt wearing shirts. Their freedom of expression is not violated. It is pretty disturbing how few people understand the first amendment
#69 The government doesnāt own the restaurant genius. The restaurant can throw out obnoxious patrons. Not a first amendment issue. Just like a baker can refuse to bake a cake for a gay wedding. Canāt have it both ways.
#72-please do tell how you know he was obnoxious?? Because you only listened to the owner’s version….lol….typical….funny how now this restaurant is closed for vacation a week earlier….social media turned to private! BTW stores post no shirt no shoes no service….not no service if your political views don’t align with ours…
#73-why thank you….always considered myself a genius. Maybe to avoid this the restaurant owner should have posted a sign saying we don’t welcome conservatives nor accept their money….again these two responses are beyond pathetic.
Be happy I responded because I laughed and eye rolled the whole time.
#74 are you joking? Or are you serious? Iāll type slowly so you can understand this. Private businesses ALL have the right to refuse customers OR ask a patron to leave with the exceptions (due to anti discrimination laws) of national origin, sex, religion, color or race. Glaringly missing from that list is political beliefs and or general obnoxiousness. They DO NOT need to put up a sign, they DO NOT need to explain why. This is AMERICA *****. You want the government to step in and tell this private restaurant how to run their business???? Dude, move to China. Are you really that thick. People get thrown out of places all the time for all kinds of reasons.
It doesnāt matter whoās side of the story you believe. This celebrity was kicked out of a restaurant for, according to owner of the establishment, being a loud obnoxious a hole. Maybe the celebrity wasnāt being a loud obnoxious a hole. Maybe he was tossed out because the OWNER of the private business didnāt like what he was saying. Guess what? Not a crime. Not a first amendment issue. Like, at all. My 10 year old knows that. If the celebrity was arrested for what he was expressing, then yes, THAT is a first amendment issue. But he wasnāt. He was asked to leave a restaurant. It literally happens a thousand times a day every day in this country. My God. Stop rolling your eyes long enough to pick up a friggin book once in a while. And stop being such a GD snowflake.
“ask a patron to leave with the exceptions (due to anti discrimination laws) of national origin, sex, religion, color or race.”
——————————————
Wrong sir, it is the personal right of all Americans to regulate who they’re associated with. It was the disgusting, 1964 Heart of Atlanta Motel, Inc. v. United States ruling by the anti-American supreme court that supposedly “overruled” the sacred right of association. Their “logic” with this insult was to tie their decision to the Interstate Commerce act which of course is totally ridiculous.
—————————————
DON’T VOTE!!!
#76 Nope, not wrong, sir. Discrimination based on the above listed items is against the law. Sounds like you donāt like the law. Fortunately, for reasonable humans, laws arenāt based on your opinions. I get it, you long for a world where blacks couldnāt eat in the same restaurants as whites. After all, it wasnāt all that long ago when that was true. Me, Iām happy we are now at a time in history where a business canāt throw you out because of your race, but they can toss you out because of the ridiculous things you say. Progress. Oh, if you donāt like anti discrimination laws, you should vote for candidates that want to abolish them. Good luck with that.
#75-hahahahahah….sticks and stones….typical windbag name calling….both I am very far from….clearly her decision didn’t bode well for her….i will type s.l.o.w.l.y for you….she closed her restaurant a week earlier than planned….changed status of social media accounts to private….getting triggered like you did….well as i pointed out didn’t work out too well for her….as for my eye rolling…..happens everyday in AMERICA….especially with this current administration….stay blessed and triggered
#78 still donāt get it do you? The restaurant could have been swallowed up by a sink hole, it is irrelevant. How it āworked out for the ownerā is irrelevant. What they did with their social media, how the guy who got tossed whined about it, the media sensation surrounding it- is ALL IRRELEVANT. Iāll ask again, are you really that thick? And projecting your triggered delicate sensitivity on me wonāt work. Mostly because I donāt give two squirts about either of the parties involved. My real concern is with person who likes to engage in debates about the Bill Of Rights without having even a basic understanding of them. You can deflect all you like but the fact remains: The guy who was asked to leave did not have his first amendment rights violated. I canāt, for the life of me, understand what part of that simple fact eludes you?
If you had just admitted at the beginning that you made a mistake because you didnāt understand, we couldnāt saved a lot of time. But you just keep digging yourself deeper into the hole of ignorance. Time to stop digging. There are mountains of relevant case law you can look up on the internet. Try self educating over self righteousness.
“Sounds like you donāt like the law.”
————–
I don’t like un-Constitutional “law”, instituted by traitors to the constitution, whether they be judges, legislators, or chief executives.
#80 Cool. Move to a different country. One where minorities are still very much oppressed. Iran, China, Afghanistan, take your pick. Youād be quite happy there. Racism and misogyny are basically enshrined. Paradise for a fella like you.
What you, and people like you, fail to understand is that we are ALL created equal. And, unfortunately, that fact needed to be legislated. Like the 13th amendment, pushed forward by that most famous of all ātraitorsā, Abraham Lincoln. You must be a Booth fan.
#80 Ah, so you are in the pro discrimination camp. Angry at all those traitors who passed the 13th amendment freeing the slaves. Not a very popular point of view, but I admire your commitment to old school racism.
“that most famous of all “traitors”, Abraham Lincoln.”
—————————————–
Sir, Traitors are not “famous,” They’re infamous. But Lincoln was only the beginning of traitorous presidents – that bit of not allowing the southern states to exercise their constitutional right to secede, 10th Amendment, 600k dead Americans. In the 20th century there were more traitors such as, Woodrow Wilson, FDR & LBJ, etc. who I also consider to be traitors to the constitution (the essence of the nation – I consider my oath to that constitution to be still in force) as well.
—————————————
SEGREGATION NATION
—————————————-
Sir, it’s interesting that you don’t understand Lincoln’s motives for wanting the 13th Amendment (Illegitimate by the way). Also, you don’t seem to know much of what Lincoln personally thought of black people. I don’t say these things to make you feel bad about your being unfamiliar with the subject matter you voice your opinion. You are very representative of the large majority of our people today.
————————————–
DON’T VOTE!!!
#83 you may fancy yourself a constitutional scholar, youāre not. You may think that your opinion (yes, opinion) on the legitimacy of congressional legislation is correct, itās not. You are a hypocrite. And I donāt say that āto make you feel bad your being unfamiliar with the subject matter you voice your opinionā (your command of the English language is not great). I say it because while you claim to be an originalist who loves his country, you are actually a bitter nationalist who sees progress as a diminishment of your entitled hierarchy. You, of course, have a right to your opinion. And you have a right to express your desire to no longer participate in the democratic process (thank God). Luckily, for āa large majority of our people todayā, you are fading away into the background where your blatant racism is no longer subversive, but merely comical.
I wonder at the level of your seeming hatred of me sir, it seems all out of proportion and is getting the better of you sir. All because I’m loyal to my oath to the constitution and understanding of what a traitor is. I’m sorry sir, I can’t accommodate you sir and change my views. Too bad sir because I don’t relish making you so angry sir. Maybe it’s just that you’re so much more well educated than i am sir. Do you think that may be the problem, my lack of education? Take care sir and try and remain calm. Sir, it would be a good thing if you identified yourself in a manly way. Otherwise sir, people might think you’re a coward.
#85 good thing Iām not playing a drinking game that involves a shot every time you type the word āsirā. Iād be pretty hammered.
I guess I struck a nerve. I donāt āhateā you. I just happen to think that racism, in all its forms, is objectively bad. And particularly insidious is racism disguised as patriotism.
As for the constitution, unless you made your oath to it before the year 1791, then you swore an oath the the constitution as it is. You donāt get to pick and choose only the parts you personally like. You donāt get to say that this amendment is legit but that one is not. As frustrating as it might be for you, that is not how this works.
Although I’m not ruling it out for the future, but as far as seeing the two-party system is a failure on both sides and Belmar being a microcosm of this, well, I’ve been there for awhile. š
Great work Jim!!!
Great work Mr. Bean. If you ever decide to run again the people of Belmar would be foolish not to elect you.
Maybe the results will change and Walsifer will be reinstated!
Maybe purple ink on a voters finger as is done in many developing nations is the best way to go.
You’ve got to get up pretty early in the morning to put one over on Jim Bean.
————————————-
DON’T VOTE!!!
#10
Kirschenbaum, because you always know what’s right and true and we’re just an idiot independent voting majority who don’t ever know what’s best for the town we live in. š
(Paragraph deleted by Editor.)
It’s just too easy one on one here…
#13
Katrina;
Continue along as an outsider and see how that goes for you in November or wake up and serve the majority of the residents who can see right through the crap and will make it go away if you do not. š
(Asterisks are mine, Editor.)
Yet.
This has to be resolved NOW. Car 54 where is Murphy?
WOW! There’s some serious revisionist history at work right there!! LMAO!
Now the Republicans just tried to convince us that George Santos is actually a Democrat?!?
Yeah, that’s right. Santos is a Republican and now we know another reason why Belmar is a microcosm for what’s going on nationally. Sad.
Thank God they post anonymously so we can’t see who our Village Idiots are.
“A LIAR”

DON’T VOTE!!!
(Asterisks are mine, Editor.)
#26 “Vito Corleone”
(Asterisks are mine, Editor.)
#28 You’re missing the point. Regardless of who wins it’s about integrity. Not important for you to say Walsifer will get less or more votes. For once realize what’s important. Please make good choices.
#29 “Vito Corleone”
Katrina;
#30 You never comment without casting dispersions onto someone or something. Voters need to know their vote is counted and counted only once.
#32 Anonymous
#33 I have a better idea. You leave and take your liberal fiends with you.
#37 How do you know it’s a mechanical error?
All this talk of mal-functioning machines is a bunch of baloney. The fact of the matter is all elections in our sad nation are always rigged.

#36 that’s a good come back. Your debate skills are pretty intimidating. However, since Iām not the one who thinks the country is ruined, I should be the one who stays. Oh, and incidentally, Iām not a āliberalā. I’m a centrist whoās not a fan of hypocrites. Sorry.
#21-who is the NEW code enforcement employee?
#21…who is the new code enforcement officer? I know there is a new employee, with no experience in tourism, but is in charge of tourism.
#43 tourism? I heard confidential secretary/assistant to the Mayor….not sure why he would need a full time secretary???
(There is no resolution for this position that I can find. Not yet, Editor.)
I believe John Walsh was hired and now there is an add posted for a code enforcement position.
So now they are hiring two people to replace one person. Frank Cinelli was a gem for Belmar so sad to see him go. As far as I’m concerned the Mayor made a huge mistake.
Here is a link to the Belmar Facebook page. A code-enforcement position is listed.
https://www.facebook.com/Belmar07719
As for that other position, ??
John Walsh already started at the boro not sure his exact title I thought it was tourism something.
#41 Saying you’re a centrist is because you aren’t convinced who or what you believe. The country is ruined. Democrats are running amuck in every state. They may be from another planet.
to the victor go the spoils
#34 “Vito Corleone”
I tend to mirror the tactfulness of the people I reply to. Your poor situational awareness and comprehension keeps you ignorant to that fact, even though I continue to speak down to you in a language that I’m almost certain you surely understand. ;}
#50 You are just a miserable card carrying liberal. The democrats are ruining this country. You couldn’t mirror a mirror.
Check the OPRA request done asking for his job responsibilities and nobody seems to know…..sounds like he was hired as a favor….we shall see
Here are two current documents

#58 #59 Democrats are ruining this country. Watch how they try and ruin Belmar.
(Here are the two OPRAed documents (not OPRAed by this commenter) for Mr. Kirschenbaum’s Secretary/Assistant – click the blue links
Salary for 2020 $67,000
Salary for 2022 $82,000
The Editor, that’s me, makes the decisions for this Blog.
(Asterisks are mine, Editor.)
#67 #68 #69 good for you
“owner of a restaurant that asked a black conservative to leave her restaurant because her politics didnāt align with his”
——————————————
Link to that story on Fox News
(Asterisks are mine, Editor.)
Sir, the only thing I can recommend for what ails you is a good High-Colonic – I mean that only in the best way.
#87 if thatās the closest Iāll get to an apology, Iāll take it. Hopefully this incident has put you on a path to educate yourself.
