For the first time I agree with you. Get rid of politics all together and you will get rid of a layer of absolute nonsense. The world would be safer, and there would be absolute less negativity.
While I agree with your assessment of Mrs Kinney generally, I’m confused about the ‘keeping everyone honest’ part. WE are in charge of keeping everyone honest. That includes keeping Mrs Kinney honest. Neither republicans nor democrats have a patent on honesty. The last admin learned that the hard way. They were, almost all, voted out. We the people are in charge of political integrity.
I’m going to learn all I can about the other candidate and try to make a rational decision based on thoughtful consideration. One thing that will not factor into my decision is the little meaningless letter next their names.
Why are Mrs Donovan’s past FB postings now being copied over by the Democrat candidate “Johanna” as though they are her originals? Recycled messages are not original.
Ok my little snowflake. You vote for who you want. Don’t forget to vote for Biden again. He’s about to forgive millions of little woke kids their student loans. Talk about a scam to try and buy votes 200 days before the election. Sickening
Some of that federal student loan forgiveness will go to students who were legally defrauded by the now shuttered Trump University. I hope you’re mad about that too. I have my doubts. We now live in a society where hypocrisy is celebrated.
I don’t understand why information from the Borough website is posted for Jodi Kinney, rather than her press release. This is certainly not the most current information and does not list the projects and committees she has been focused on, nor any relevant information for her current campaign. I assume this is a mistake and will be corrected with updated information.
(Please send me a link to Jodi’s 2024 press release or updated bio, Editor.)
Now that the updated press release is available, I can see why you were so concerned. There is a vast difference between the language on the boro website and the language in the press release. Oh wait, I’m sorry, it’s almost exactly the same. They are ALL the same. Regardless of candidate or party. They all, almost word for word, say the same thing. They love Belmar, they want financial stability, they want to balance quality of life issues, blah blah blah. The only difference in Mrs Kinney’s is she’s trying to raise money for a skate part to replace the one her former administration tore down. I don’t see how that fits in an efficient use of resources, but hey I’m not on the council.
Unsafe conditions at the formerly known as “Skatepark” was the reason the Belmar Municipal INSURANCE company would not cover ANYTHING to do with its operation.
Nonsense. The old skate park just needed to be repaired. It was torn down because they didn’t like it. Period. The new one is over a million. That’s about 200 fundraisers. In other words…no skatepark. Political theater of the absurd.
I would rather the town build a carwash on that site and ALL residents can use it. Quit your whinning, post a plea on GoFund me, rent a warehouse somewhere, build a ramp and charge all the other out-of-towners a fee to use it. Go for it, i’ll donate $10.
My vote is for Dr. Kinney. She’s pleasant, works well with other council members. Plus it’s good to have a Republican on to keep everyone honest.
Just don’t vote for this nonsense. “Democracy” is long dead.

Actually, Belmar does need a person with a degree in fashion. Uh, maybe not.
Fashion, chiropractic care…what’s the difference. Neither has much to do with governing.

perhaps Roper-Robinson’s press release will shine some light on the Belmar Magical Garden … the best kept secret in Belmar.

No smoke and mirrors here!
